AP Accountant

As a part of the General Accounting team, you will play a crucial role in the finance operations and accounting functions of Delaware BeLux.

• You will be the first point of contact for all supplier-related communications
• You will efficiently process and organize all incoming invoices
• You will provide valuable insights to the organization on the correct cost centers and VAT rules to apply.
• You will accurately record all received invoices in our system and ensure deadlines are met.
• You keep an eye on KPI's, such as reminders received, to ensure timely payments and improve processes.
• You act as the main contact for all supplier inquiries, including payment details and reconciliations.
• You regularly follow up and clean up the supplier balance to ensure accuracy.
• You oversee the probation period for new suppliers and ensure compliance with company policies.
• You work closely within a small team, exchanging information and maintaining open communication.

The delaware Support team is a close-knit community of 150 colleagues that provides locally-based support in an international context. Within this tight community, the General Accounting team offer their accounting experience to delaware colleagues and act as a sparring partner of the business. We play an integral role in supporting our operations and people, and contribute to the successful completion of delaware consultancy projects.

Just so you know: delaware has its offices all across Belgium. You will mainly work from our Wavre office, while also enjoying all the benefits of working in an international consultancy firm (e.g. flexible hours, working from home, challenging assignments and room to grow in your function).

• Do you have your first experience (or more) in Accounts payable?
• Are you familiar with SAP and the purchase order and goods receipt processes?
• Are you proficient in French and English, with knowledge of Dutch being a plus?
• Would you say you have strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams?
• Are you a go-getter who is rigorous, conscientious, and always looking to improve processes?
