Enterprise Information Management (EIM) System Engineer

cloud & infrastructure, supply chain & operations, some experience, consultant
Belgium

As an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) system engineer you design, build, implement and support our customer’s business critical IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Behind every system that runs at our customer, there is a substantial amount of work done behind the scenes - and screens. You’re sure to have a lot of variation with not a dull moment in sight.

We have always set the bar high in ensuring continuity in our services by delivering structured assistance. And that’s where you come in! Can you help us ensure that all EIM systems are running smoothly like a well-oiled machine?

What will you be doing?

  • You lay the foundations for a project. You’ll work at the intersection between software and hardware. On top of a System Engineer, we might as well call you a System Architect.
  • You’re in charge of maintaining the system implemented at our customers. You provide support and assess the urgency and nature of every issue. As a true investigator, you   gather additional information if necessary. You look for a solution or workaround for the issue, with the support of your delaware colleagues.
  • You’ll be given the opportunity to grow your knowledge on OpenText Information Management Solutions.

Today, we have offices in Gent, Antwerpen, Kortrijk, Lummen, Waver en Luik. But we also spend a lot of time working together with our customers on-site.

Do you have what it takes?

Let’s see if you can tick off some of the boxes on the following list:

  • We’re looking for a technical consultant with an analytical mind. Your technical skills combined with your problem-solving and troubleshooting skills will allow you to come up with the best solutions adapted to our customers’ needs.
  • Ideally, you already have a first experience as a Systems Engineer with a focus on infrastructure. You have knowledge of operating systems (Windows),databases, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Familiarity with network protocols and security protocols will be useful.
  • Still at the beginning of your career as a system engineer? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered and will coach you on the job.
  • Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Associate) are a plus.
  • Are you a team player? Cool! You’ll be working together closely with your colleagues. That being said, you also aren’t afraid to work autonomously.
  • Do you know how to bring technical messages across loud and clear? You’ll have to communicate with clients in order to solve their issues as soon as possible.
  • Speaking of communication: can you express yourself fluently in English and Dutch? If you speak a little French, that’s fine too.
