delaware signs strategic deal with Microsoft for Cloud and Generative AI services

Nov 27, 2024

delaware has signed a strategic deal with Microsoft. This new three-year agreement further strengthens our longstanding partnership, which has been in place for over seventeen years. The deal focuses on Microsoft Azure cloud and generative AI services and aims to benefit customers with even greater expertise and support to accelerate their digital transformation.

Three-year deal aims to boost Microsoft Business by 50 %

Since the start of our strategic partnership in 2007, countless customers have entrusted delaware with the implementation of Microsoft solutions. With more than three hundred new Microsoft projects each year and sales accounting for nearly fifty percent of delaware's total revenue, the collaboration is stronger than ever today. This is the reason we have decided to further intensify their partnership.

With this new deal, we’re taking our partnership to the next level, based on our shared vision of cloud and AI technology as the foundation for customer success. By choosing Microsoft Azure as the preferred cloud and AI platform, delaware can further enhance the customer experience with robust, integrated solutions and additional go-to-market support from Microsoft.

Added value and extra support

The new deal enables delaware to help more companies seamlessly transition to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The initial focus will be on developing and managing innovative, value-added solutions via Azure to help businesses across various sectors tackle complex challenges. Experts from both delaware and Microsoft will work together on customer projects, co-develop custom solutions and innovations, and provide expert guidance as drivers of customer success.

A second focus is generative AI (genAI). In late 2023, delaware decided to increase its investments in genAI and train its 5,000 consultants. The goal is to become a leading partner in innovation and help customers boost their productivity through Microsoft solutions like Copilot. delaware will benefit from even more extensive support from Microsoft, including additional programs, expert resources, and advanced capabilities, and actively upskill its consultants.

To support the growing share of our Microsoft activities and effectively offer these advanced services, we will expand and upskill our teams, not only in IT but also in marketing and sales.

Unique positioning that combines the best of Microsoft and SAP

What makes delaware especially appealing to businesses is that they can find the best of two or even more worlds in one place. In addition to Microsoft, the company also has significant historical expertise in SAP, and more recently, Salesforce. This broad offering ensures that customers always find the right solutions for their needs, and it contributes to delaware’s unique positioning, enabling the company to combine the strengths of these different ecosystems.

delaware has been the only player in Belgium for over fifteen years with deep expertise in both the Microsoft and SAP ecosystems. We are now bringing these areas of expertise together, for example, by offering the Microsoft Azure platform as a hyperscaler for SAP's cloud ERP.
