From his first role in 2004 as SAP Consultant to his follow-up position leading Microsoft Dynamics, Jan De Bock’s expanding interests in the interchangeability of technology have aligned well with delaware’s entrepreneurial approach to business. 2013 saw his focus further switch to Microsoft business applications, heading a team of 100 in his pursuit of utilizing new technologies to optimize operational excellence. “Our customers are transforming rapidly by the application of digital technologies,” says Jan. “To help our customers leverage these technologies, delaware needs to remain agile as a company. I see this evolution more as an opportunity than a challenge.”
His colleague Steven Lenaerts is also a longtime delaware employee. Beginning as a junior consultant in 2005, Steven’s career path has followed his interest in adapting the capabilities to be found in emerging technologies to suit the needs of customers, culminating in a role leading the Connect Systems and People domain within the organization, with focus on development, enterprise architecture and applying innovation. He states, “if you have a good idea and you have a clear business case for it, you have the space and time within delaware to develop it. Growth of the company should not be the target, it should be the consequence of a good strategy and a good vision.”
"The appointment of Jan and Steven to partner ensures that their proven past emphasis on the combined value of teamwork and innovation will continue to drive delaware’s outlook", says managing partner Patrick Andersen, “I am proud of the decision to promote Jan and Steven. They have both grown through our ranks and demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial drive to contribute to our ongoing success. I look forward to working with them in the partnership to shape the future of delaware.”
