Introducing Team Copilot: The valuable new addition to your team

Unveiled at Microsoft Build 2024, Copilot is evolving from a personal AI assistant to a team AI assistant to help teams boost productivity, collaboration, and creativity. 

All new capabilities 

Following the successful launch of Microsoft Copilot, the everyday AI companion helping people across the globe to save time, be more productive, and boost creativity, Microsoft recently announced an entirely new set of capabilities that unlock Copilot’s ability to drive bottom-line business results for every organisation. 

As part of these new capabilities, Copilot is evolving to Team Copilot, expanding capabilities beyond the behind-the-scenes personal assistant to act as a new, valuable team member.  

Participating and contributing alongside you and your colleagues, Team Copilot can shoulder the burden of assigned tasks or responsibilities so that your whole team can be more productive, collaborative, and creative together. 

Here’s how:

  • Meeting facilitator: Team Copilot can enable a more productive discussion in meetings by managing the agenda, tracking the meeting time, and taking notes that can be coauthored by other meeting attendees.   
  • Group collaborator: Team Copilot can help everyone maximise value across chats by surfacing the most important information, tracking action items, and addressing unresolved issues.   
  • Project manager: Team Copilot can help ensure every project runs smoothly by creating and assigning tasks, tracking deadlines, and notifying team members when their input is needed. 
Teams

Copilot in Teams chats

Utilise Copilot to effortlessly recap key points, tasks, and decisions from your conversations, eliminating the need to sift through extensive threads. Additionally, you have the flexibility to access summaries of conversations from the previous 1, 7, or 30 days.

Copilot is available in the following chats and only references the meeting chat, not the meeting transcript:

  • One-on-one and group chats
  • Single meeting chats or scheduled private meeting chats
  • Meet Now chats

On-boarding Team Copilot

Available in preview for customers with a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license, these capabilities can be leveraged where you collaborate most: In Teams, Loop, Planner, and more.
