It's part of who we are

Being a socially responsible company means that we, the #peopleofdelaware, try to leave the world a little better than we found it. Why is that so important to us? 

Our identity, our personality, our DNA – whatever you may want to call it – is what makes delaware ‘delaware’. It is an overview of why we exist, what makes us different, how we conduct ourselves as an organization and the attributes we look for in our employees. This identity has become a living part of so many aspects of our day-to-day work, and it greatly influences our interactions with customers, colleagues and the environment. 

That is why Corporate Social Responsibility is so important to us. It is part of who we are. 



In other words: We care

And this is also anchored in our company values. As a company, we are aware that we are not only responsible for the results of our work, but also for the impact of our actions on the environment and society. 

In order to fulfil our responsibility, we have developed a WeCare programme based on three pillars:

First pillar: Donation from the company

delaware Germany donates to a charitable cause suggested by our employees. 

This is an image of the 2024 campaign: a donation in kind to Kältebus Saarbrücken e.V., where volunteers provide warm clothing, sleeping places and food to ensure that people on the streets are not left to fend for themselves in the freezing cold.

Second pillar: Donation from employees

Our employees donate to a charitable cause that is close to their hearts. 

We have, for instance, collected donations for a children's hospital in Poland, for the local animal shelter in Zweibrücken or for flood victims.

Third pillar: WeCare2Move

This initiative combines a monetary donation from the company with a donation of time from employees.

Every year, our employees voluntarily take part in a sporting activity. A certain amount per participant is then donated to a selected organisation. We have already taken part in the Cross against Cancer Run - or we simply organise a sporting event ourselves, with a choice of different sports.

Everybody contributes

Today, our dream stands stronger than ever. At delaware, we launch plenty of initiatives to motivate and inspire our employees to be the best possible versions of themselves. 

  • The delawareAcademy offers intense training programs and bootcamps
  • Employee wellbeing is one of our top priorities. This has for example led to the creation of our Communication Task Force, which looks after the wishes and concerns of employees.
  • Instead of giving away advertising material at job fairs, we offer the option of making a donation (at our expense) to a charitable organisation.
  • Our renewed mobility policy allows our consultants to go from A to B in the greenest way possible (yay for electric cars!)
  • And much more!

We are motivated to continue our work towards sustainability. We truly believe that everybody at delaware can contribute. But we’re only just getting started!
