As 2024 draws to a close, we wanted to firstly take the opportunity to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our wonderful colleagues, customers, and partners for helping make 2024 Delaware’s best year yet.
From fundraisers and corporate events through to expanding our network and welcoming new faces, this past year has been jam-packed with plenty to celebrate.
Let’s take a look back at our 2024 key highlights...
2024 was a remarkable year for Delaware in terms of recognition for our services and offerings.
At the prestigious SAP EMEA North Partner Excellence Awards, we proudly received 42 nominations across 14 awards, winning the awards for New Business Grow, Top Cloud Performer, Cloud Contribution, and Cloud Delivery Excellence.
Furthermore, we received a 2024 SAP® Pinnacle Award in the ‘SAP Business Technology Platform’ category, and were the winner of the SAP S/4HANA Public Edition 2023 award at this year's SAP UKI Partner Summit. These awards recognise Delaware’s outstanding contributions as an SAP partner.
And it wasn’t just our SAP teams who had plenty to celebrate. Our Microsoft practice celebrated five years of Azure expertise after successfully renewing our Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) status for another consecutive year, and we were announced as a proud member of the FastTrack Partner Portfolio for Dynamics 365.
These accolades and recognitions are a collective celebration of our exceptional teams, our successful partnerships with SAP and Microsoft, and the unwavering trust of our customers.
As Delaware continues to grow, we have the honour of welcoming new colleagues and partners alike to the business.
This year, we hosted four welcome events for our 131 new joiners at Delaware UK & Ireland, 23 of which have joined our analyst intake. What’s more, we’re delighted that Ian Greenhalgh, Managing Partner at Delaware UK & Ireland, has accepted the position of Managing Director for Delaware International, where he will join the New Management Committee from January 1st 2025.
Additionally, our partner network continues to grow, and we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming several partners to our partner network, including Jordisk and Searchlight Consulting, we’ve continued to strengthen our partnerships across the board with partners like SNP, and we were privileged to be recognised as Kontent.ai’s Partner of the Month in April!
Throughout the year, the Delaware UK and Ireland teams were able to attend and host a number of fantastic in-person and online events, from partner and customer events through to employee get-togethers and celebrations.
Our teams headed to Orlando and Barcelona for SAP Sapphire, Seville for the SAP Energy and Utilities event, Brussels for the European Power Platform Conference, Dublin for Lumenia’s ERP HEADtoHEAD event, and Birmingham for UKISUG Connect, to name just a few.
What’s more, we welcomed over 300 employees to the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor this summer for our fourth annual DelFest event celebrating our collective achievements, and our employees were also able to get together at the Guildhall in London for a wonderful end of year Christmas celebration.
At Delaware, we’re proud to call ourselves a socially responsible business. That means leaving the world in a better position than we found it.
Throughout 2024, our global teams have been involved in a great number of WeCare initiatives, including attending the Plan International Gala and donating over €10,000, sponsoring a basketball game in Belgium for TeamNext and Het Ventiel, taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge raising £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising a further £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support during Delaware's WeCare to move week, selling Brazilian sweets and coffee for the flood victims, donating blood to Red Cross, volunteering at an animal shelter, volunteering at the Special Olympics in Belgium, and so much more!
Additionally, as part of our ongoing partnership with Ecologi, a Bristol-based platform for collective climate action, we’ve supported a combination of short-term carbon reduction projects and longer-term reforestation projects situated around the world. This year alone, we planted 1,944 trees, removed 10 tCOe of carbon from the atmosphere, and supported the prevention of 452.06 tCOe from being emitted into the atmosphere.
As we reflect on a year of tremendous growth, collaboration, and achievements, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support of our partners, clients, and colleagues. Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in making 2024 a remarkable year.
We would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our offerings, helping our customers thrive, and making the world a better place. Here's to a prosperous and impactful 2025!
