UITGEKOOKT chooses delaware with SAP S/4HANA

Meal service provider Uitgekookt has chosen to make the switch to SAP S/4HANA. Under the guidance of delaware, the IJsselmuiden-based company is moving to SAP's advanced ERP solution. During the implementation, delaware will use FAST-Solution for Food, a full Food advanced solution based on S/4HANA with which delaware helps the Food & Beverage sector to achieve their growth and innovation goals.

Today's innovative meal service creates new business models and reduces food waste

Uitgekookt is a well-known synonym for delicious and healthy food without cooking yourself. The IJsselmuiden-based market leader in home-delivered chilled meals delivers meals fresh to homes throughout the Netherlands every week. Uitgekookt employs more than 300 employees and 1,000 delivery drivers. For the past six years, Uitgekookt has used a customized package developed in-house. To enable the growth aspirations of the fresh meal supplier, the company has chosen to deploy its IT development capacity on the strategically distinctive processes and to use a robust standard solution for the standard processes. To successfully build for the future, the operation needed more speed and flexibility to keep up with the strong entrepreneurship at Uitgekookt. Therefore, after a careful selection process, the company chose delaware's FAST-Solution for Food. “delaware is a reliable player that has been active in the food market for more than thirty years,” explained Rogier van den Esker. As Operations Director at Uitgekookt.nl, he was closely involved in the choice of the new solution. “The functionalities offered by FAST-Solution for Food perfectly matched the requirements of Uitgekookt.” All Food-specific wishes and requirements were secured in it.

From customization to standardization

The ERP solution from SAP and delaware will form the backbone of Uitgekookt. Virtually all standard processes will soon be established in SAP, from purchasing, sales and production planning to inventory management and finance. SAP will be linked to the strategic distinctive processes, which will be developed in-house.

Van den Esker expects Uitgekookt to benefit greatly from the new system. “This solution enables new business models for us and supports our growth ambition. We have clearly chosen a package and partner with which we can control the production process and reduce food waste even further. At the same time, we get more flexibility with which we can create and exploit commercial opportunities.” And that is exactly what they need to grow further. With FAST-Solution for Food and SAP S/4HANA as its foundation, Uitgekookt is making an important professionalization move.
