Caring is something we do in every aspect of our company, care for our people, customers and the environment. We strongly believe that we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our children. Therefore to us, a Socially responsible company means that we respect and care for our planet and its inhabitants. The #peopleofdelaware help us do exactly that. Building an organization that lasts

delaware originates from a dream: to build a long-standing and sustainable organization that can be passed on to the generations to come. Realizing that dream, however, is not something you do overnight. We can only continue dreaming when we also take responsibility for our company’s relationship with the social and ecological environment.

Our purpose is to enable our people, our company and our customers to reach their full potential, while creating a positive impact in a challenging world. That is why CSR is a vital part of our identity and our strategy. It is part of who we are.

Let’s be transparent

Our work not only creates more efficient processes within companies but also reduces previously overlooked waste, which we can easily identify with the help of data. For instance, we actively strive to decrease the amount of paper documents at our clients' offices. However, we must be aware that hosting all our activities has a significant carbon impact. Therefore, we are eager to reduce the amount of energy required for our services. To minimize our negative impact, we are currently calculating our carbon footprint, including scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. By basing our future progress on facts, we can continue to make strides in decreasing our environmental impact.

Realizing a dream for today, tomorrow and future generations does not happen overnight, and we know that our responsibility goes beyond just taking care of our own business - which is why CSR has become an essential part of our identity and strategy.

How we actively contribute to a sustainable future:

We support reforestation

Forests are essential to our existence and our future. That’s why delaware supports environmental organizations that counter deforestation and focus on maintaining biodiversity. Treesforall is the largest Dutch nature conservation organization and protects important habitats, species and landscapes. Treesforall's mission is to empower communities around the world to restore their forests and scale their impact. In total this organisation has restored for delaware: 78,45 tons of CO2 emissions in 2023.

Fruitful Office and Ripple Africa

In collaboration with the Ripple Africa foundation, our fruit provider, fruitful office, plants one fruit tree in Malawi for every basket we consume weekly. Ripple Africa carries out large-scale environmental projects and small-scale initiatives in education and healthcare. They inspire and empower communities to achieve a sustainable future by offering a helping hand.

With this tree planting project, we are joining the fight against deforestation and compensating for our CO2 emissions. This project is one of the largest and most successful tree planting projects in Malawi and provides a long-term solution to combat deforestation in Africa. As of 2023, a total of 307 fruit trees was planted on behalf of delaware.

MVO partner

As a partner of 'MVO Nederland' (Corporate Social Responsibility), we are part of a network where entrepreneurs work on sustainable ambitions. This membership keeps us informed about initiatives regarding CO2 reduction, sustainability, and CSR, and allows us to participate. It provides opportunities not just for our organization but also to explore new possibilities for our clients. MVO Nederland represents a movement of entrepreneurs in the new economy, creating a network of partners to innovate and implement for this new economy. According to MVO Nederland, the strength lies in connecting companies.

WeCareForOurpeople

OpenUp is an ESG initiative at delaware that supports the mental well-being of our employees. OpenUp, an online platform, provides various tools and resources for mental wellness in a 360-degree approach. Our employees can access these resources in a way that suits them best, from one-on-one support to group sessions and online courses. We are committed to investing in initiatives like these that prioritize the happiness and well-being of our employees.

WeCareFortheCommunity

At delaware, we want to actively make a difference for colleagues, with colleagues. After all, we all have the same goal in mind: engagement! We want to be engaged with each other, towards our customers, and above all to our society, because 'who gives, has. delaware's WeCare committee is an employee run group focused on making a difference within the wider community, outside of delaware. Throughout 2023 the WeCare Team has facilitated various activities and initiatives to raise money for our chosen charities - Alpe d'HuZes, Ukrain, food bank and Night of the Refugees.
